During the Thanksgiving holiday we readily take time to thank God. Unfortunately, life can be hard and we forget God’s goodness.
When we need help, Psalm 103 gives us several reasons to praise God. We can read it, enjoy God’s promises, and praise His name!
Psalm 34:8 seems fitting for the day we feast on a big meal with family and friends. I spent a part of today catching up with family over a delicious meal.
The best gathering are ones where people talk about the goodness of God. I am blessed to have family that involves God in their lives. Today I tasted God’s goodness.
Praise His name!
Today seemed like a long day, because I could not wait for the long weekend. My impatience for the holiday reminded me of God’s faithfulness. I am so thankful for God’s patience with me.
His faithfulness gives me ample reason to praise Him.
The long weekend does too. 🙂
Everything we do should be for the purpose of honoring God.
Yes, everything. God said so and He is worthy.

During the thanksgiving season we often take time to reflect on the blessings that God gives. I have thought and prayed about thankfulness and praise in the last few years. Grumbling and complaining come more naturally. However, no matter how bad life gets, God is still good. He still gives good gifts.

I started writing over 15 years ago. I wrote because I felt compelled to. Blogs weren’t on my radar then and I wasn’t brave enough to share my writing until a little over a year ago.
I started sharing this blog with much fear and trepidation. However, I have been blessed by the response. So thank you to all who have supported me. I pray that I may honor and glorify God through writing.
Life is not about you or me. It is about Jesus Christ. He suffered for us. He gave His life. He is worthy of our worship and praise.
And friend, He has your best interest in mind.
My life needs to be about Christ.
“He must increase. I must disappear.” (John 3:30)
The only way we can have unity in any relationship is to have Christ in the center. Lord God, please make Christ my center.
