Today I just want to praise God. He is worthy of praise.
Dear Heavenly Father, You have done so many wonderful things. Your character is perfect. I am in awe and filled with joy. Thank You for sending Jesus so I can have a relationship with You.

I love the comfort of the Psalms. God tells us that He watches those who fear Him. He will deliver our souls from eternal punishment and helps us in the difficulties of today. While God gives common grace to all, these verses talk about those who fear Him. God is not going to deliver those who reject Him. I wish more people knew how much God cares. If they did, I think more would fear Him.
It is my prayer that I have opportunity to show and tell people about the truth of God. Both to those who know Him, so they can learn more, and to those who don’t know God. I want everyone to know more.
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to share the truth of Who You are, both with my life and with my words. I want those who know You to know You more. I grieve for those who don’t know the truth about You. Please help me to share the truth with them.

During the month of November, I want to spend time in the Psalms. There are so many verses praising and thanking God. Psalm 33:6-7 praises God for His creation.
If you want to study the concept of creation for yourself, I recommend the Institute for Creation Research, Creation.com and Answers in Genesis. The Case for Creation by Lee Strobel is another interesting read.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the beauty of creation. Please help us to understand what You have put in place. Please help us to take care of what You have given. I praise Your name for the wonderful work of creation.

Patience and consistency require a lot of effort. It can seem like we don’t have a lot of that in this day and age. However, I know based on the commands of Scripture that there are believers who are trying to live this passage.
The actions in this verse aren’t always readily visible, and yet the Bible tells us that this is part of the behavior we will see from true believers. I encourage you to “rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” and watch for this behavior in other believers.
Dear Heavenly Father, please help us to live according to what You command. Thank You for the encouragement from Your Word about the behavior of true believers.

I often see a general dislike for the concept of righteousness. Some in our world don’t seem to care about doing what is right, or we want to redefine what is right. Those who have read my blog know that I use the Bible as my standard of right and wrong.
In light of the ugliness I sometimes see it can be discouraging trying to obey God and do what is right. It can seem as though we are not making a difference. However, Jesus told His listeners that those who desire righteousness are blessed or have favor from God. This can seem lost on those in our world today, but those of us who seek righteousness will see the truth of what God has told us. I am thankful when God shows me His favor. I hope to learn more about watching for His work.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the favor You give to those who seek for righteousness. Please help us through the times it seems righteousness doesn’t matter. Please open our eyes to the blessings You readily give.

When life is unstable, it is good to have someone or something to hold tight to. I am thankful that God has given us a certain hope for the future. I am thankful for God’s faithfulness that is unwavering.
While God does a lot of things for me, I believe He has given me some commands to follow. This verse is encouraging me to hold fast. I will work on that knowing the beauty of God’s faithfulness.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You that I have a certain hope to hold on to. Please help me to hold fast and encourage others too also.
