This post provides an update to a project I started some time ago. I wrote about a frame that I was working on. I have taken the next step with this hideous project to see if I can make improvements. It doesn’t really look any better than the last time, but like I said before – this frame is a work in progress.
As it stands right now, the paint blobs have been removed. I have decided to try something completely different from my original plan. I wanted to show the “scars” of the frame as an analogy for life. Now I plan on filling them in and sanding the frame down to make things smooth. There are many scars in this life. However, in heaven the scars will be removed. When God calls me to my heavenly home, He will provide complete healing. I will be perfect then. My life (my journey on earth) is all about my eternal home where I will praise and worship God without hindrance. I have asked God to help me live with eternity in mind. I hope this frame will provide a needed reminder.
I pray this can be a blessing to my friends who know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. To those of you who do not have a personal relationship with Christ – most of my blog posts probably don’t make sense. I am a child of God, because of John 1:12 (NET), “But to all who have received Him – those who believe in His name – He has given the right to become God’s children.” Romans 10:9-10 (NET) tells us how to “receive” God. “Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.”
If you do not understand what this means, please contact me and I will share what God has taught me. If you aren’t comfortable contacting me, ask God to show you. You need to talk to Him anyway.
I am so glad that He started the work and will be faithful to complete it according to Philippians 1:6.
