Power & Splendor

Dear Heavenly Father, thank Your for choosing me. I can say with Isaiah, “You are my God.”
I ask for salvation for those who cannot say that. Please guide me to praise You so others will know who You are. Help me to know what to say, but to remember to leave the results to You.
May Your name be praised!
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
God is so good.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the urgent reminder that we need to present ourselves to You. Thank You for reminding us that we need to please You. We are prone to please ourselves. Please help us to sacrifice our own wishes and cling to Yours. Please help us to fight the lure of the world and allow You to transform us into the image of Christ. We need Your help.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
God is so good.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for justifying us by faith. We know You give salvation as a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9). We thank You for the peace that comes through our Lord Jesus Christ. Peace in a troubled world is a great gift. Our hearts are comforted.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
God is so good.

Dear Heavenly Father, we know many who are suffering in different ways. We come to You pleading for help. Please remind the suffering of Your love. We know Your Word tells us that You have a purpose for suffering (James 1:2-4; 2 Corinthians 12:9), but we just want the suffering to end. Please help us to remember Your promises.
We praise You for the joys You give. Many times even in suffering You bring cheer. Thank You for giving us many blessings.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
God is so good.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your words. Thank You for telling the Israelites to fix Your words in their mind and beings. Thank You for the physical imagery of keeping them close. Thank You for reminding us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that, “All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.”
We know that Your word is important, but it can be too easy to put it aside for easier, short-term pleasures. Please help us to prioritize the importance of the Bible and “fix Your words into our minds and beings.” There is nothing more important.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.
God is so good.
